The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. in the 7600 block of Algon Avenue.
Police say a vehicle with two occupants flipped over on its roof.
A pole with live wires could be seen leaning onto the car.
Authorities were able to rescue a 47-year-old woman inside the car.
She was taken to Aria Hospital Torresdale Division in guarded condition.
The male in the car was trapped for about an hour.
He was taken to the hospital in very critical condition. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are investigating.
