Building collapses in North Philadelphia

Police and firefighters were called to the 2600 block of North 11th Street around 1:00 a.m. Sunday when an apartment on top of a Chinese restaurant collapsed.

Numerous rescuers are on the scene of a building collapse in North Philadelphia.

Police and firefighters were called to the 2600 block of North 11th Street around 1:00 a.m. when an apartment on top of a Chinese restaurant collapsed.

There were reports of several people who are trapped inside and some firefighters reported that a woman was yelling for help on top of the building.

Rescuers gave the "all clear" a few hours later with no reports of any injuries.

There was no immediate word on how this building collapsed.
