The Morning Call of Allentown reports Jason Marcelle will receive $315,000 for injuries sustained when he tried to save the life of 4-year-old Daviay Legrand.
Marcelle tried to pull Legrand out of the path of an out-of-control police car that had just collided with another cruiser on May 30, 2007.
The Morning Call report says the suit claimed the city was responsible because the officer who caused the crash had a history of speeding and drunken driving.
Legrand's settlement is delayed while a judge weigh's the boy's father's claim he's entitled to a portion of the money.
