Police search trains for shooting suspect

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - September 1, 2011

The shooting happened shortly before noon at the intersection of 16th and Bristol streets.

When police arrived they found a 35-year-old man who had been shot in the face.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Police believe the suspect then ran to the Broad Street Line and jumped on a train.

Officers had trains stopped at Broad and Erie looking for the suspect.

There was no word on a description of that suspect.
