NJ hiker's body recovered from Del. Water Gap

STROUDSBURG, Pa. - September 14, 2011

Park rangers say they body of 25-year-old Alexander Morros, of Long Valley, N.J., was found Tuesday in a brook on the New Jersey side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Officials say Morros disappeared Sunday afternoon while hiking with two friends at a cliff near a waterfall. Search operations began soon after but a park spokeswoman said a dive team couldn't end the water immediately because of the recent heavy rains.

An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.
