The multi-vehicle accident involving a patrol car occurred around 5:10 p.m. at 2nd and Broomall streets in Chester.
Officials say a two-year veteran Chester police officer and a 90-year-old male were transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center for observation.
Investigating personnel were called to the scene and the investigation into this accident will continue.
