The single car crash occurred around 1:00 a.m. Saturday when the driver of the vehicle lost control and smashed into a retaining wall, trapping all of the occupants inside.
The driver was indentified as 32-year-old Karon Blanton. Police say he was driving under the influence and with a suspended license. The front seat passenger, 31-year-old Jenita Noel, was killed in the crash. Firefighters were able to free the remaining victims, 40-year-old Rudolph Curby and 30-year-old Corey Kersey. The were both taken to area hospitals for treatment. Blanton now faces vehicular homicide charges. He is in police custody and being held on $250,000 bail.Passenger killed in DUI crash on I-295
