Le Toux helps Union snap skid, 1-0 over Crew
CHESTER, Pa. - September 17, 2011
The Union ended an 0-3-5 stretch that dated to a 3-0 victory
July 17 at New England.
A standing room-only sellout of 18,906 at PPL Park saw
Philadelphia improve to 6-1-8 at home with its first victory in
four tries against Columbus.
The Union (9-7-12) moved into third place in the Eastern
Conference, two points behind the Crew and one point behind
Sporting Kansas City, which played later at Real Salt Lake.
Columbus is 0-3-1 in its last four matches and fell to 3-8-3 on
the road.
Union rookie goalkeeper Zac MacMath picked up his second
consecutive shutout in place of MLS All-Star Faryd Mondragon, who
has a broken finger.
