Fire damages south Jersey school's office

A preliminary investigation indicates a fire that damaged the main office of an elementary school in south Jersey was electrical in nature.

About 35 firefighters found heavy black smoke coming from the Davenport Primary School in Egg Harbor Township late Tuesday night.

Cardiff Fire Chief Rob Winkler told The Press of Atlantic City firefighters stopped the flames from spreading and fans were used to remove the smoke.

No one was injured.
