Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio told The Jersey Journal that the drum was found Friday in the basement of a Jersey City building where 32-year-old Randy "Amanda" Lehrer lived with her husband and infant daughter.
Police say Lehrer's husband, Steven Acuna, reported her missing Aug. 17 after an argument. No one has been charged in Lehrer's disappearance.
Jersey City Police Chief Tom Comey says Lehrer didn't miss a day of work in three years at a Jersey City restaurant except to take maternity leave.
A candlelight vigil was being held outside Lehrer's apartment Saturday evening.
