Suspects wanted in Kensington bank robbery

KENSINGTON - October 3, 2011

Around 11:42 a.m. Monday, the suspects entered the Beneficial Bank branch on the 800 block of East Allegheny Avenue.

While one suspect stayed at the door, the other approached the teller with a threatening demand note.

After receiving an unknown amount of money, both suspects fled on foot.

Some of the money was recovered when the dye pack exploded near the 3100 block of G Street.

The suspect who remained at the door is described as a black or Hispanic male with a light complexion and a black beard. He's in his mid 20s, approximately 5'10" to 5'11" tall, with a thin build.

He was last seen wearing a tan zippered jacket.

The suspect who presented the demand note is described as a black or Hispanic male, clean shaven. He's believed to be in his mid 20s, 5'7" to 5'8" in height and 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and cargo shorts.

Either or both suspects may have dye stains on their skin or clothing.
