Sprint: Banking on iPhone
Later this month, Sprint gets to sell the iPhone for the first time and they really need to score big with the device because they haven't posted a profit in almost four years. Sprint's stock taking a big hit today after saying they need to raise capital because they need to upgrade their network and to buy handsets like the iPhone to lure in customers so they can compete with AT&T and Verizon.

Airfare Price Hike Expected
Priceline.com's saying recent flight cuts are expected to drive ticket prices higher, and, of course, reduce ticket availability. On average, Thanksgiving tickets are at $400; that's up over 4% since last year. Christmas airfares are at $475; that's up about 1%.

Microsoft Wins EU Approval
Microsoft won European Union approval to buy Skype in an $8.5 billion deal. This seems to be the final step in their effort to acquire the company. The deal would enable Microsoft to sell more digital advertising and offer more popular business conferencing tools. If the deal goes through it be Microsoft's largest acquisition ever and is the biggest internet takeover in more than a decade.
