The crash happened around 8:00 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Kirkwood Highway and St. James Church Road.
It took rescuers about 30 minutes to free one of the victims and 40 minutes to free another one.
A man in his 40's and a woman whose age is not available were both transported to Christiana Hospital. Details related to their injuries have not been made available.
The roadway reopened at 9:00 a.m. after crews were able to clear the scene.
