Notable portrait of freed slave sold in Philly

The 1819 painting by Charles Willson Peale of Yarrow Mamout is seen in the Philadelphia Museum of Art Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 in Philadelphia. The portrait of Yarrow Mamout is one of the earliest formal portraits of a black man. The painting was sold by the Philadelphia History Museum. The portrait went on public view Friday.
