No one was injured when a man in a condominium in Seaside Heights surrendered after holding police at bay for more than two hours.

The man was wanted on a warrant for weapons offenses when officers gave chase Monday. He ran into the condo with his dog.

Police Chief Thomas Boyd told the Asbury Park Press he called in a SWAT team and a hostage negotiating team.

Boyd says the suspect talked to officers on a telephone that was thrown through a window.

The man's name has not been released.
