Police: NJ woman tries to trick cops with 911 call

GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. - October 25, 2011

The incident began around 11:35 p.m. Monday on Blackwood-Clementon Road in Gloucester Township in Camden County.

After the officer made the traffic stop, a 911 call came in of a person armed with a shotgun at a nearby Wawa store on Little Gloucester Road.

However, no such incident ever took place.

As it turns out, police say, a woman inside the car made that fake 911 call in hopes that the officer would be dispatched to the store.

The ruse did not work, and two people inside the car were arrested.

Charged are 28-year-old Robert Webb of the 2400 block of Denfield Street in Camden and 25-year-old Janora Carter of the 1900 block of Park Boulevard in Camden.

Both Webb and Carter were wanted on outstanding warrants.
