Police seek child luring suspect in Del.

DOVER, DE - October 26, 2011

Police say a 13-year-old girl was walking to a bus stop in the Eagle Meadows development when she was approached by a man in a gray Honda Civic.

The suspect asked the victim if she wanted a ride and wanted to be his girlfriend. She said no and the suspect drove away.

The girl went to her bus stop and reported the incident when she arrived at her school in Camden, DE.

Police say the same man approached a second female student in the same development as she walked to her bus stop. The suspect asked her the same questions and drove off.

Delaware State Police are reminding parents to tell their children to never talk to strangers and to walk their children to their bus stop or school if possible.

The suspect is described as being a black man, 30 - 45-years-old, and wearing a brown jacket. He was driving an older model, 4-door, gray Honda Civic.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Delaware State Police Youth Aid Unit at 302-741-2823 or by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
