Online court records don't list an attorney for 46-year-old Scott Schweitzer, of Bridgewater, who faces a preliminary hearing Nov. 22 on charges including drunken driving and fleeing or attempting to elude police.
The Beaver County Times reports Thursday that Schweitzer was charged by police in Bridgewater, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, after he was seen driving the scooter in a park after hours on Oct. 15.
Police say Schweitzer refused to stop and drove the scooter home as the officer ran after him. Police say Schweitzer smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on his feet, and that his blood-alcohol level was later determined to be nearly three times the legal limit.
