The shooting occurred around 7:00 p.m. on the 1100 block of Chestnut Street.
A couple blocks away police found a 24-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the groin.
Police say the victim ran from the shooting scene and collapsed in the location where he was found.
The male was transported to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
Police say that they are looking for two males with dark hoodies.
They believe the motive was robbery.
