Man dead in crash on Rt. 202 in Chester Co. ID'd

WESTTOWN TWP., Pa. - November 8, 2011

The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. at the intersection with Skiles Road in Westtown Township.

Police say the driver of a GMC Yukon, 19-year-old Jose Antonio Jaimes of Kennett Square, Pa., was travelling southbound on Route 202 and failed to stop for a red light.

The GMC collided with a Ford Taurus that was exiting the driveway for Stetson Middle School.

The driver of the Ford, 81-year-old Harry Ernst, of West Chester, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ernst's 40-year-old daughter, who was in the car with him, was taken to the hospital with internal injuries.

Jaimes was not injured.
