Around 11:00 p.m. officers were dispatched for the report of a person with a gun.
Upon arrival, police found a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The victim's identity has not been released.
Police have taken several people in for questioning but no word on a suspect.
