Reid: Vince Young to start for Eagles if Michael Vick can't

PHILADELPHIA - November 18, 2011

Even though Young is the 2nd-string QB, there was some speculation this week that 3rd-string QB Mike Kafka could play instead.

Vick didn't practice for the third straight day Friday because of broken ribs.

Reid said at a news conference that Vick is improving, but still doesn't feel great.

Vick was listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the New York Giants.

Vick broke his two lower ribs on the second play of the Eagles' 21-17 loss to Arizona on Sunday. He didn't tell anyone he was hurt and played through the pain.

Jeremy Maclin is also listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.

Meanwhile, Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) and offensive lineman King Dunlap (concussion) have been ruled out for Sunday.
