Philadelphia police say they now know who they are looking for after a man was shot in the neck earlier this week in Northern Liberties.

That suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Christopher Easter of the 1500 block of Poplar Street.

He is wanted in connection with the shooting of 29-year-old Kevin Neary in the 700 block of Bodine Street early Tuesday morning.

Neary was shot in the neck and critically wounded as he was headed home after a night out with friends.

Police previously released surveillance images of the suspect, now identified as Easter. The images show Neary being followed just moments before the shooting.

Police say Easter shot Neary without taking any cash.

Neary's father and two brothers remained at his hospital bedside on Friday, saying that his injury is serious but, apparently, non-life-threatening.

Investigators say solid leads developed after the surveillance video was broadcast by Action News on Thursday night.

Anyone with information on Easter's whereabouts is asked to call Philadelphia Police at 215.686.TIPS (8477) or at phillypolice.com.
