Police say at 3:44 p.m., the suspect entered the Alliance Bank at 500 Township Line Road in Havertown and handed the teller a note demanding currency.
The suspect implied that he was armed with a handgun, but none was displayed. Witnesses advised the police that the white male subject was in his late 50's to his mid 60's with a salt and pepper beard.
The man was wearing a Philadelphia Eagles knit hat and gloves.
He was given an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen leaving on foot towards Brentwood Road.
