Wilmington merchant, teen shot blocks apart

WILMINGTON - November 29, 2011

New Castle County paramedics responded to the area of Concord Avenue and West Street for the report of the shooting shortly before 9:00 p.m.

At that location they found that a 22-year-old male had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest.

New Castle County paramedics treated him during transport to Christiana Hospital.

He was admitted in critical condition.

Police, while at this crime scene, were then called to another shooting three blocks away.

Upon entering the house along the 2400 block of Washington Street, officers found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was rushed by medics to Christiana Hospital in serious condition.

Police have made no arrests in either shooting.
