Delco woman raped by intruder, suspect sought

UPLAND, Pa. - November 30, 2011

The man police are looking for is 18-year-old Tyler Khalid McCray. He is believed to be in the area of Chester, but may also have ties to Wilmington, Del.

McCray is described as a black male with a medium complexion. He stands 5'6" tall and weighs about 215 pounds. He has a tattoo on his left hands with the letters "SAA."

The rape happened around 11:45 p.m. on November 16th in the 500 block of Front Street in Upland, Pa.

Police say McCray made his way to the second floor bedroom of the victim who awoke while McCray allegedly brandished a large hunting knife.

McCray then raped the woman, police say, as she pleaded with McCray to stop. Investigators say the victim's children were sleeping in the next bedroom.

After raping the woman, police say McCray threatened her with the same knife and demanded money. McCray then fled, police say, with an undetermined amount of cash and the woman's cell phone.

Anyone with information of McCray's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Investigator Steve Jackson (610) 636-0290.
