Serial burglar targets Phoenixville businesses

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. - November 30, 3011

Four of the burglaries took place at four different retail shops in the Acme Shopping Center on Starr Street: a sandwich shop, a dry cleaners, a hair salon and a nail salon. A fifth took place on the same day at a mobile phone store in the unit block of Bridge Street. A sixth occurred six days later at a business in the 400 block of High Street.

In each case, police say the suspect got in by throwing a large rock through glass.

The suspect was caught by surveillance cameras during one of the burglaries. See all five surveillance photos here.

He is described as a light skinned African American or Hispanic male with a short beard, approximately 5'8, wearing a white t-shirt and hooded sweatshirt with stripes down both sleeves.
