The flames were reported shortly after 12 noon Tuesday on the unit block of Cheryl Drive in the Caravel Hunt development.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the first floor and extending to the second floor of the home.
The bulk of the fire was brought under control within 15 minutes. No injuries were reported.
Neighbors tell Action News that the house was vacant and under foreclosure.
They also say there was a fire on the outside of the home a few weeks ago.
No word on any suspects or any arrests.
