Jury hears voicemails in nail salon killing trial

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - December 9, 2011

The Bucks County Courier Times reports prosecutors played voicemail messages for jurors Thursday during the trial of Thuy Van Vo. He is charged with strangling An-Hnan "Annie" Thi Huynh in November 2010 in an Upper Southampton nail salon.

According to the Courier Times report, prosecutors say Vo apologizes in one message because he took $6,500 from one of Huynh's bank accounts.

Prosecutors alleged Vo killed Huynh in part because of the money and out of jealousy because he thought she was seeing someone else.

Vo has denied killing Huynh. He faces a life sentence if convicted of first-degree murder.
