The shooting happened near the intersection of 3rd and Roop streets. There, shortly after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, someone opened fire on a man.
The victim, believed to be in his mid 20s, suffered multiple wounds and was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition and rushed into surgery.
Police said later Wednesday that the victim had died.
Police are looking at robbery as a possible motive.
There have been no arrests at this time.
