32-year-old Jenail Brown, of the 100 block of Alston Court in the community of Eagle Glen in New Castle, has been charged with rape in the first degree and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
Detectives were assigned Saturday to investigate a reported sexual assault case involving the 25-year-old victim. The investigation revealed that during the course of the assault, Brown allegedly brandished a steak knife.
Police are not releasing further details in order to protect the victim's identity.
Brown was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $50,000 secured bond.
