NJ town might outlaw bullying

RIDEFIELD, N.J. - December 19, 2011

Ridgefield Mayor Anthony Suarez has asked the borough attorney to craft an ordinance that would prevent bullying and harassment in recreational sports, at the library and on municipal property.

Suarez tells The Record newspaper the ordinance would tell parents how to report bullying and make it easier to deal with such issues.

New Jersey's anti-bullying law that was implemented in September requires schools to investigate any bullying incident that is reported.
