Police: W. Pa. man robbed man who had heart attack

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - December 28, 2011

Nineteen-year-old Keenan Snyder, of Johnstown, was arraigned Tuesday on burglary, robbery and other charges in the Nov. 11 break-in targeting Robert Kuharcik who died in the process. Police began investigating when Kuharcik's estranged wife found him dead the next day.

Police say Snyder later told a friend that Kuharcik died of a heart attack during the robbery. Detective Thomas Owens tells the Tribune-Democrat newspaper of Johnstown that's why police are continuing to investigate a possible homicide charge.

Snyder's public defender did not immediately return a call for comment Wednesday.
