Police say it was around 6:30 a.m. when the driver of a Saturn SL was traveling west on Naamans Road towards Route 202 when the vehicle struck the victim in the westbound lanes.
The victim was transported by medics to Christiana Hospital in critical condition. He later died at the hospital.
The victim is identified as Carlos Romero-Espinoza, 50, of West Grove, Pennsylvania.
The driver did stop on location.
