The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. near Musgrave Street and East Washington Lane in East Mount Airy.
The officer was on foot patrol when investigators say a 2003 silver Cadillac ran into him and then dragged him for several feet.
The officer was released from Einstein Medical Center, after being treated for leg, neck and arm injuries.
Police say the suspected car had two people in it when it sped down Cliveden Street.
