Tim McGraw's "emotional traffic"" album finally to be released

NASHVILLE (AP) - January 3, 2012

"Emotional Traffic" will be available January 24. McGraw had accused Curb of stretching out his contract by putting out greatest hits records instead of new material like in "Emotional Traffic."

The record company accused him of delivering the album too early. The first single from "Emotional Traffic," ''Felt Good on My Lips," was a hit a few months ago.

McGraw wrapped up his "Emotional Traffic" tour last year. Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney will tour together this summer.

The album features 12 songs including the No. 1 single "Felt Good on My Lips." McGraw said in a statement from Curb Records that the new album is one of his best he has ever made.

Curb Records had sued McGraw to prevent him from recording or signing with another label until he fulfilled what Curb believed was his obligation for a fifth album. Curb had argued that "Emotional Traffic" was recorded and completed too early. The label said it wanted McGraw's newest songs.

McGraw won a ruling in November that said he could sign with another label and record new music.
