Victim in national park shooting grew up in NJ

WESTFIELD, N.J. - January 3, 2012

The 34-year-old Anderson graduated from New Jersey's Westfield High School in 1995. The principal there says she was in the marching band and on the volleyball team and was committed to serving others.

Her parents still live in the area and her father, the Rev. Paul Kritsch, is pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Roger Borchin, the former director of the Redeemer Lutheran Church elementary school, tells The Star-Ledger that Anderson was a sincere person.

She was married to another park ranger. The couple had two young children.

The body of the suspected gunman, Benjamin Colton Barnes, was found Monday in the park.
