It happened around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday near Landers Spur and I-295 in New Castle County.
Authorities say the driver of the vehicle lost control before striking the pole. The impact of the crash brought down several live wires.
All four occupants were trapped inside for about 30 minutes while Delmarva power crews worked to deactivate the wires.
The victims were eventually freed and taken to Christiana Hospital.
No word on their condition.
