Casey Anthony's video diary surfaces online

January 5, 2012

Casey Anthony is talking about her life on a webcam.

It is the first look at the famous mother since she was acquitted of murdering her daughter Caylee in July 2011.

"So this is my first video diary," Anthony says to the camera.

She may have short blonde hair and glasses, but ABC News has confirmed that it really is Casey Anthony spilling her feelings in a rambling video message.

She says she finally has things to call her own; a computer, a camera and a pet.

"I have somebody to talk to, and I'm not borrowing the poor dog, who I adopted, and he's as much of a pet as any I ever had," said Anthony.

Where the video came from or why it even exists, is unknown. Anthony does not disclose her location, but she says the video was shot last October.

"I'll be here for a few more months, even if I get off probation early, I will be here till February, the end of February," Anthony said.

It is a stark contrast to the last time the world saw Anthony on camera.

The Florida mother was acquitted of murdering her toddler, Caylee. As soon as she walked out of jail, she disappeared amid death threats.

There was no mention of her daughter or the trial in the video, instead, Anthony seemed to focus on her future.

"I'm extremely excited to Skype and keep a video log," said Anthony.

Anthony goes on to say she hates being on camera, but says there may be more video diaries to come.
