Man charged in 4 Wilmington bank robberies

WILMINGTON, Del. - January 6, 2012

Andre T. Dennis, 56, of Wilmington was arrested on Thursday at his home. Police say they identified him as a suspect after gathering numerous tips from surveillance pictures.

In at least one of the robberies, Dennis appeared to be wearing a wig.

He is charged with robbing the WSFS Bank at 2005 Concord Pike on November 21st, the Wells Fargo Bank at 2011 Concord Pike on December 5th, the M&T Bank at 1812 Marsh Road on December 16th and the TD Bank at 2035 Limestone Road on January 3rd.

Dennis is charged with Robbery Second Degree (4 counts) and Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (2 counts).

Dennis was ordered to be held on $30,000 Secured Bond.
