Storage ottomans for $99, a five-piece Pennsylvania House bedroom set for $1299, a Broyhill dining table with 6 chairs for $699, and an antique secretary with hand-blown glass panes for $799.

Those are just some of the deals at the new Affordable Consignment Furniture that opened just before the holidays in the former Borders location in Wynnewood, Pa.

The inventory features both new and gently used items.

Denise Cooperman of Affordable Consignment Furniture explains, "There's some amazing deals out there and the consigners are very varied. You've got people that are homeowners that are downsizing, you also have furniture stores that are getting rid of inventory that they may have in the warehouse, or it might be an error from the manufacturer."

Cooperman showed us two chairs that came from an interior designer who ordered eight, when the client only wanted six.

"Those particular chairs are probably 80%-90% less, off the retail price," she said.

The former bookstore offers lots of room for inventory displays, and the staff is happy to help out with free design tips.

Cooperman explains, "I'm actually an interior designer and I've been in this business for 30 years. So I really do like to help people to find things and to marry them up to have a really great look and something that they're going to love and can afford."
