The accident occurred just after 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of New Castle Avenue and Memorial Drive.
Police say a car and a minivan collided. It took rescue crews about 20 minutes to remove the injured from the vehicles.
The victims were taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment. Initial word indicated that the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Southbound New Castle Avenue and Memorial Drive were closed while State Police conducted their investigation into what caused the accident.
