Police responded to the report of a shooting near Browns Park in Atlantic City around 11:30 Friday night.
When officers arrived, they found 26-year-old Uthman Griffin shot multiple times outside the School House Apartments on Arctic Avenue.
Medics attempted to revive the victim but were unsuccessful.
Police say the killer has not been captured.
Investigators have not commented on the possible motive in the case.
