Investigators say 29-year-old Jesus Manuel Gonzalez was being taken from the Wernersville Community Corrections Center for violating his parole by possessing contraband while staying at the facility.
But before state troopers arrived to pick him up, police say Gonzalez stole a car at the facility and drove off.
Investigators say the stolen car is a 1993 red Chevrolet Metro with Pennsylvania license plate HKG1734.
