Del. mayor reveals parking tickets, penalties

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - January 21, 2012

On Friday, Baker paid a $40 ticket and $40 penalty for a violation of limited-time parking in front of his home. His residential parking ticket had expired. He's also recently paid a $40 ticket, plus a $20 penalty, after being cited for having been parked in the same spot more than two hours.

Besides those infractions, The News Journal of Wilmington reports that the city says Baker has received 29 other tickets since becoming mayor in 2001. The city says 25 of those tickets had been paid. The other four were dismissed.

The city has said it would take steps to address concerns about aggressive parking enforcement.
