The motorcyclist identified as 23-year-old Nhan Chinh Hoang died in the accident.
It happened around 11:30 Friday night, on Aramingo Avenue and Cumberland Street.
Authorities say the driver of a Toyota Corolla was pulling out of a Wawa parking lot in Kensington when Hoang swerved to avoid hitting the car.
The biker was ejected and his bike continued moving to until it struck a light pole.
Hoang was pronounced dead at Hahnemann University Hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
Police say the driver did stop at the scene.
