Police say a car careened into a telephone pole and two trees on Route 212 near California Avenue around 3:30 Saturday morning.
A 43-year-old man - the driver of the 2008 Acura TL - died in the crash. He has been identified as Vernon Fegley Jr. of Northampton, Pa.
Three passengers were trapped inside and had to be freed by rescue crews.
The passengers are identified as 28-year-old Abagail Ferry of Richlandtown, 28-year-old Aaron Lawrence of Quakertown and 28-year-old Rachael Lokay of Fountain Hill.
The survivors sustained serious injuries and were taken to area hospitals.
Police have not said what caused the crash.
