28-year-old Brian K. Goodyear faces a list of charges stemming from the robbery of The Country Store on Main Street in Kenton.
Police say Goodyear entered the store wielding a bat and confronted the 62-year-old female employee.
The woman handed over an undisclosed amount of money and Goodyear fled on foot.
As he fled, the woman ran out after him and a passer-by was able to call 9-1-1.
Police soon apprehended the suspect and he was taken into custody.
