It happened around 9:00 a.m. Sunday on the 4500 block of Kirkwood Highway.
Police say a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe entered lane of a 2007 Honda Accord, driven by an elderly male. The Honda was forced off roadway and into the parking lot of the Parklynn Shopping Center. The Honda then struck a concrete pole and overturned.
The elderly male was trapped inside the vehicle for about 30 minutes until rescue crews were able to free him.
The 80-year-old male driver and his 76-year-old wife were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The 23-year-old male driver of the Tahoe is charged with improper lane change, and driving without a valid license.
