Meals ready to go in minutes

EXTON, Pa. - February 23, 2012

Not so in the Exton area, where a longtime restaurant family recently opened Pronto.

The concept is simple - restaurant-quality Italian food at affordable prices, and ready to drive home in minutes.

Brothers Ron and Nick Ruffini, who grew up in their parents' restaurants, say preparation is the key.

They and their staff spend hours each day home-making sauces and getting everything else ready to assemble.

Pasta is partially-cooked then finished to order. The result is table-ready food you can drive right home and enjoy.

Pronto features pasta like spaghetti served with a variety of homemade sauces...meatballs, too...or sausage, or mushrooms. But you may also choose ravioli or tortellini. Even a gluten-free pasta. Several salads are available. Soups are house-made, too. And you may add dessert.

The Family-Style Dinner comes with a selection of pasta, sauce, meat or mushrooms, salad and bread...enough to feed four people, out the door for $29.95.

Pronto also has a selection of sandwiches served on fresh long Italian rolls.

The staff favors the porchetta...house-roasted pork shoulder served with provolone and broccoli rabe. It's oven-toasted to order.

If you like, there are also grilled panini. Pronto is at 217 Eagleview Boulevard in Exton, Pa., just off Route 100 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The shop is open every day from 11:00am until 9:00pm...10:00pm opn Friday and Saturday nights. There is no seating. Everything is packaged to go.

For more information or to place an order, phone 610-524-3278. Your food will be ready when you specify. Or you may roll up to the drive-through window and everything will be handed to you in just a few minutes. You may also visit Pronto online.
